My focus is on health not disease. Research reveals that much of what impacts our health is driven by the interaction between our nutrition, environment and genes. To this end, I rely on blood pathology in addition to your medical and social history to determine what processes are at play for your health. At times it may also be necessary to go deeper, with microbiome analysis, DNA snp or other functional tests.

I strive for clients to understand that the food we eat can impact the function of our gut, and both the structure and function of the brain, contributing to our psychological and physical resilience — basically how we feel and function. There’s benefit to making food your friend.

Clinical nutrition is about partnering with you to develop personalised and practical real-life strategies for nutrition and lifestyle changes that focus on the root causes of your chronic health issues.

Recommendations are therefore personalised, tailored to your circumstances and take into account your existing medical recommendations.

  • Clinical assessment and food as medicine is always included in our consultations. Blood pathology and either DUTCH test (hormone and adrenal) or DNA snp testing can be requested as necessary.

  • Clinical assessment and dietary planning are always included in our appointments. Blood pathology is often required and Microba Gut Analysis can be completed as necessary.

  • Clinical assessment, metabolic balance nutrition plan and 7 support sessions to improve body composition hormonal health and address underlying inflammatory conditions.

    Optional addition includes:

    • Private training sessions with MP Therapies. OR

I see people for any nutrition related issues, but I have specific training and experience in these areas.

An evaluation for any of these concerns begins with a 60min consultation. My emphasis on pathology is to provide baseline details about your health and guide evidence based decision making.

The road to recovery is different for everyone. We do know that a food as medicine approach should be tailored to you, and your specific drivers of ill health.

While testing provides signposts to your unique biochemistry and underlying risk factors, we also rely on a comprehensive clinical history to guide specific evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle changes to help improve your health.

Meet Tammy

Tammy has worked in clinical nutrition for over five years. In this time she has have completed further training in gut health for IBS and IBD sufferers, pathology interpretation in preventative medicine and mental health, and hormonal weight management. Her focus has always been on health and wellbeing for individuals and communities as evidenced by Tammys’ “outside” work activities in mentoring, tutoring and volunteer counselling.

She is particularly passionate about the links between what and how we eat and our physical, gut and mental health. Tammy enjoys collaborating with clients in making food their friend and to develop an understanding of how nutritious meals can work with their bodies rather than against it.

Tammy is registered with the Australian Natural Therapists Association (#15940) and is an associate member of the Australian Society of Lifestyle Medicine.
